SaaS Product Ownership
What It Does
Functioned as the de facto Product Owner for an enterprise SaaS platform. While not a formal title, the responsibilities were real and substantive: writing user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, managing the product backlog, setting priorities in collaboration with stakeholders, and translating business needs into clear, buildable tasks for the development team. Served as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team.
Key Features
- Wrote user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for development
- Managed the product backlog and established prioritization frameworks
- Translated stakeholder needs into actionable development tasks
- Supported decisions about feature sequencing and release scope
- Primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team
Why I Built It
The team needed someone who could bridge the gap between what the business needed and what engineering could build. I stepped into that role organically.
What I Learned
Learned how to write user stories that engineering teams can actually act on, and how to balance competing stakeholder priorities into a coherent product direction.
